It’s all in the title.

Food for Fatherhood is about the intersection between food and fatherhood. There are two levels to this.

The first level is about a dad’s role in the family kitchen. I am the main cook in our family. It’s a role I am more than happy to fill, because I love, and am very good, at cooking. However, many men and dads I know shy away from anything to do with food. I believe that dads have a fundamental role to play in developing their family food culture. The United States is sorely lacking in any kind of national food identity. At least one that is sustainable. Changing that starts in the home kitchen.

The second level cannot be grasped quite as easily. It’s the “food” required to feed a dad’s soul. I’m not an expert. I’m on this journey with you. We can find out together what we need to be eating, literally and figuratively, to be the best dads we can be.
